Attorney- Henry Novak
Member of the Ohio Bar since 1988. More than 17 years of business/corporate
law experience, over 15 years of franchise law experience and more than 25 years of management
and executive level business background.
Served more than 10 years in several executive positions including Vice President
and General Counsel for a multi-state sub-franchisor and for an international franchisor which has
more than 8,000 franchisees worldwide. Owned a franchise as a hands-on owner in an international
fast-food chain for more than 5 years. Experienced in all aspects of franchising from both sides
of the table – as franchisor and as franchisee.
Solo practitioner since 2002. Supports and provides legal advice to
numerous new and established businesses in the Northeast Ohio area. Assisted in the
start-up and continues to serve as counsel for several businesses and national franchise
companies headquartered in the Northeast Ohio area. Works with existing business owners
and franchisors in updating their documents and corporate systems. Assists new business
owners and franchisees in business acquisitions and start-ups. Provides ongoing legal
counsel to business owners.
Born in Sternberk, Czech Republic in 1958, graduate of Brecksville-
Broadview Hts. High School; Bowling Green State University; and, Cleveland Marshall
